Plasma Jet kINPen® VET
Pinpoint precision technology
for an effective wound therapy
Spot-on therapeutic progress
Definition of Plasma
The world’s first plasmajet for the medical application of tissue-compatible cold plasma
The revolutionary technology of the Plasma Jet kINPen® VET ensures a consistent plasma quality and a controlled treatment process. Physical cold plasma is applied to the wound at a temperature of < 40° Celsius with pinpoint precision and without direct contact, even in the case of complex wounds and wound environments with recesses and cavities.
The effect may extend even to chronic wounds that are beyond treatment, which makes it potentially suitable for the prevention of possible amputations. The treatment range of the therapy encompasses inactivation of multi-resistant pathogens such as MRSA and stimulation of tissue regeneration.
In the Plasma Jet kINPen® VET product, the cold plasma is generated from the inert gas argon. This ensures consistent plasma quality with every treatment.
The result of research – for practical application
The innovative cold plasma therapy is the result of many years of scientific cooperation between our aligned company neoplas med GmbH, the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology (INP), the University Hospital Greifswald, the Charité Hospital Berlin and various other partners in research and industry.

User-friendly and safe application
The Plasma Jet kINPen® VET is very user-friendly, supporting a mobile application in treatment rooms. The treatment is performed by the doctor or trained medical staff. The plasmajet is guided vertically over the wound area at a moderate and constant pace of approx. 5 mm/s. The effective area of the plasma covers about 1 cm2. The gas flow is adjusted on the device and should be 5.0 l/min.
During the treatment an exchangeable (sterile single use) spacer ensures sterile application and the maintenance of the minimum specified distance. The treatment intensity is controlled via the treatment duration. The treatment time should be 30 to 60 s/cm². The plasma generates an anti-bacterial, anti-mycotic and anti-viral effect on the surface by the plasma beam and promotes tissue regeneration.
